2024, on the night before the second AC/DC concert in London, something unforgettable happened in the AC/DC Dive Bar. Mayra told Pete that a Chilean fan—the one, through whom she had originally learned about Pete’s spare ticket—didn’t have a ticket for the next day’s show.

Pete asked him why, and the man replied simply: he couldn’t afford it.

Pete didn’t hesitate. “That can’t be,” he said. “No one from the AC/DC Family should be left outside.” He reached into his pocket, pulled out £130, and handed it to the Chilean so he could buy a ticket. Other fans—members of the "Family"—overheard what was happening. One by one, they joined in, tossing in £20 each. By the end, everyone had contributed something, the Chilean got his ticket, and the entire group was smiling with the kind of joy only rock fans understand.

Mayra was deeply moved. Tears welled up in her eyes as she witnessed the generosity and solidarity of the AC/DC family. And in that moment, an idea began to take root.

Everywhere she looked that night, fans were wearing denim vests covered in bootleg AC/DC patches. Six months later, she asked Pete to send her photos of the patches from his own vest. With them, she created a bold new design: the “PETE'S PATCHES” shirt.Getting this design officially approved by the band was not easy. Many of the bootleg patches didn’t match AC/DC’s design guidelines, and several approval rounds were needed. But after weeks of persistence, the breakthrough came in April 2025. Mayra got the green light, and production of the shirts could finally begin—transforming fan culture into designer fashion.
